Luxurious apartment in Surfers

One of the worst experiences of my life Positive: Location was great Negative: Horrendous, stand over security that bully and intimidated me knowing my husband wasn’t there at the time. The host started out fantastic, we booked as advertised and bought our dog, hotel found out and then the host tried to ask me to leave for 24 hours for things to cool down. 2 days spent on phone to booking.com who were useless. Surprise surprise this property no longer accepts dogs. We currently have legal proceedings being written up.

Ants, dirt, broken lights, aggression Positive: The apartment looked like the photos. Unfortunately, our stay was EXTREMELY DISAPOITTING. • The sofa was covered in dust, and the balconies were also extremely dirty. • The apartment was infested with ants. We left our bags on the table, and when we returned a few hours later, they were full of ants. We had to put our bags in the freezer to kill them. • The living room was dark as the ceiling light didn’t work. In the bedroom, both the ceiling light and the bedside lamp were broken. only one small lamp was available to light the entire room Negative: The most serious issue was the behaviour of the maintenance man: He came to address the lighting and ant problems, and asked me why the second bedroom hadn’t been used. I calmly explained that my friend had decided to stay elsewhere because she had developed a severe allergic reaction on her body and suspected possible bed bugs; although I personally did not believe it was the case, as I had no reaction myself. At this point, the man suddenly became extremely aggressive and threatening. He accused me of making this up to get a refund - which I never requested - and started insulting me. He even told me to leave the apartment immediately. As a woman alone, I felt extremely unsafe and shocked by this behaviour. No guest should ever be treated this way. This was an extremely negative and distressing experience. I strongly advise against booking this property, especially for female travellers or anyone expecting a safe and respectful environment.

A great central position. Positive: Clean. Accessible. Close to everything. Pet friendly. Negative: Everything was spot on. No complaints at all.

Awful stay! Not as advertised and unresponsive owners! Save your money and book somewhere else Positive: Hotel facilities are nice Negative: Apartment wasn’t as advertised. It’s not a 3 bedroom apartment it’s 2. There is no sofa bed. Obviously very cheaply renovated. Doors that didn’t shut properly, light in the bathroom didn’t work, stove top didn’t work. An unknown person entered our apartment on the second night. Owners were unable to tell me who it was or why they had a key. They refused to refund us any portion of our stay. They have avoided my messages and phone calls. Save your money and book somewhere else
